Indrasarowar is an artificial lake and serves as a reservoir for the Kulekhani Hyropower project, Nepal’s biggest and the only reservoir based hydropower system which has the capacity to produce around 92 KWs of electricity. Indrasarowar is spread around 216 hectares and the water here gets collected from different rivers and streams of the northern part of Makwanpur district. The floating house seen in the photo above the water is the fisherman house.
