This photo was taken at Humde, Manang. This place is in between Humde and Bhraga (or Braga) of Manang district and is situated in one of the most renowned trek all over the world, Annapurna round trek. To reach here, one can trek from Besisahar or use vehicle to reach Chame. Chame is the headquarter of Manang district. From Chame full day trek to Pisang and settle. On the next day after 3-4 hours walk, we can reach Humde airport. From Humde its takes almost 2 hours to reach Bhraga and an hour to reach Manang from Bhraga. Manang is a pleasant enough place to spend a rest day. It is clean and has a couple of “movie houses” with good DVD collections. There are many day trips one can take here. A map of times, distances, and locations is next to the central stupa. From here we can travel either further to the Thorang pass(5415 m)/Tilicho lake or return to Chame.
Some Facts:
– Humde airport (Altitude: 11145 ft.) has been renovated and regular flights are being operated since September 2013.
– Manang is one of the largest villages in the Manang district
