This is a peacock (also know as Mayur in native language) captured near Royal Chitwan National Park, Sauraha,  Nepal during a jungle safari. Peacocks are large colorful bird containing long tail feathers which have eye-like markings that can be erected and expanded covering more than 60 Percentage of the bird’s total body.

Interesting Fact about Peacock: Only males are known as peacocks. Females are peahens, and together, they are called peafowl.

Average Lifespan: 20 Years.
